A big hit with the audience uses caricature to address the most evident failures of the catholic clergy. The slow move away from the story of the three “kings” and their bosses to the drama reflects the deep commercialisation of the ecclesiastical circles, high levels of corruption, promiscuity, alcoholism and appalling cases of sexual abuse. The film is not aiming to doubt the power of faith. It chooses to focus on certain disturbing realities, the failures of individuals, who are ruining the image of catholicism as God abiding society.
