Brad Bird and his animated movies were successful mainly in the 2000s, when he created The Incredibles and the hard-to-forget movie Ratatouille. However, with The Iron Giant we travel just right before the beginning of the new millennium, to the year 1999, so that we can watch the feature “birth” of one of the key figures of the “big-budget animation” of recent years.
